Our Approach

More than an agency. Studio Krama pairs the rigour of a strategy consultancy, research, structured thinking and commercial discipline, with design that's built to compete, then scales both with technology and AI

Strategy. System. Scale.

Strategy. System. Scale.

Studio Krama's approach to brand strategy runs in three parts: Strategy, System and Scale.

Strategy and System are human-led: together they establish the brand truths, your key messaging, design and experience.

Scale is AI-native: Krama AI takes those truths and scales them consistently across every channel.

Strategy

Here we build the foundations of the brand. Defined into your unique proposition. And positioned to own the market. The momentum you need to continue effectively.

01

Discovery

What problem are we solving for our customers? What do we do? We start by understanding the business's key objectives, mission and vision, and what determines success. This runs through stakeholder interviews with CEOs, CFOs, CTOs, investors and R&D leads, a review of pitch decks, KPI reports and existing brand materials, desk research into the market and competitors, and often a site visit.

02

Customer Analysis

Who are our customers, what do they need, and who's serving those needs now, and how do they win? We build this picture before we touch positioning, because a brand aimed at the wrong customer is wrong no matter how well it's designed.

03

Brand Proposition

What's the white space we own in the market? What makes us distinctive, and how do we communicate our benefits to our audiences? This is where we find the overlap between what the world needs, what's unique about the business, and where competitors already sit, and turn that overlap into a position.

04

Brand & Product Architecture

How do we organise the business to drive maximum value, and address different market segments through our products? Strategy isn't finished until the story maps cleanly onto how the business is actually structured.

System

Here we define the brand truths. Built into your identity. And written into your messaging. This becomes the infrastructure with which we make brand decisions moving forward.

05

Brand Identity

The look and feel: a distinct logo, colour palette, tone of voice and overarching art direction, all built to reinforce the position set in Strategy.

06

Key Messaging

The messaging framework: three to five proof points under the value proposition, written precisely enough that your team, your website and your sales deck all say the same thing.

07

Brand Toolkit

The brand assets and usage guidance that keep the identity consistent as the business scales, so the fifth person to use the brand applies it as precisely as the first.

Scale

Here the brand goes to work. We implement through the customer and company experience. Built on your brand truths, we use AI to scale effectively. Touchpoints are identified in Systems and prioritised accordingly. Some of the most popular outcomes below.

Website Design

How we choose to introduce the business online, and how we engage customers for the first conversation, including the key messages that land with each audience.

Pitch deck, social, customer engagement and PR

The same brand truths get implemented wherever the business needs to show up: a pitch deck that reintroduces the business to investors, a social strategy that puts the right content on the highest-impact channels, customer engagement materials for partners, customers and sales teams, and PR activations that reintroduce the business to the world.

Krama AI

We believe in brand as infrastructure to grow the business, one that stays strong, sharp and differentiated at scale. We can customise experiences based on specific needs, all built on the truths of your brand.

Approach FAQs

What is Studio Krama's approach?

Studio Krama's approach runs in three parts: Strategy, System and Scale. Strategy and System are human-led and establish the brand truths, key messaging, design and experience. Scale is AI-native: Krama AI scales those truths consistently.

What happens in the Strategy phase?

Four steps: Discovery (understanding the business's objectives, mission and vision), Customer Analysis (who the customer is and who's currently serving them), Brand Proposition (the white space the business owns and what makes it distinctive) and Brand & Product Architecture (how the business is organised to drive maximum value).

What does System include?

System is where direction becomes fact: Brand Identity (logo, colour palette, tone of voice, art direction), Key Messaging (the proof points under the value proposition) and Brand Toolkit (the assets and usage guidance that keep the identity consistent as the business scales).

What does Scale mean, and what is Krama AI?

Scale is where the brand truths get implemented: website design, pitch deck, social strategy, customer engagement materials and PR activations. Krama AI, Studio Krama's proprietary brand intelligence platform, then scales those truths through an AI-powered content engine built on real facts.

Why does Studio Krama establish brand truths before scaling with AI?

Because AI systems increasingly answer questions about a business before a person does, and they repeat whatever brand truths exist, correct or not. Studio Krama keeps Strategy and System human-led so the facts are right, then uses Krama AI to scale them precisely rather than invent them.

Does Studio Krama build an Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)?

Yes. An ICP is one of the core outputs of the Strategy phase, built from customer research rather than assumption, and used to define the value proposition that everything else is built on.

Does Studio Krama build the website, or just design it?

Both. Website Design happens in System, turning the brand and messaging into a site structure. Website Development happens in Scale, where that design is built, shipped and made to hold up as the business grows.

Does Studio Krama produce video and content, not just brand and web design?

Yes. Content Strategy and Video and Imagery sit in Scale, so the key messaging set in System keeps showing up consistently as new content is produced, rather than drifting channel by channel.

Has Studio Krama applied this approach with funded, growth-stage companies before?

Yes. Studio Krama has applied Strategy, System and Scale to a growth-stage greentech innovator repositioning from B2C to B2B (Sertis), a US healthtech platform preparing for go-to-market (Soana), a women's performance-wear challenger brand (Tracksoul) and an AI-powered coaching platform (PitchNinjas).

How long does the process take?

The full sequence, Strategy through System to Scale, typically takes 8 to 12 weeks. Scale then continues on an ongoing basis as the brand grows.
